Carlie Branson, Owner & Artistic Director

Carlie Branson is a Florida native, originally from Navarre, whose passion for dance began at an early age. She received her foundational training at the Northwest Florida Ballet Academie under the direction of Todd Allen. During high school, she earned scholarships to attend the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School and expanded her experience into the competitive dance world, contributing to multiple state championship titles as a member of her dance team.

Carlie continued her education at Northwest Florida State College, where she earned both an Associate of Science in Theatre Technology (Dance) and an Associate of Arts degree. During her time there, she served as Captain of the 2016–2017 Raider Rhythms, performed with the Soundsations vocal ensemble aboard Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas, and was a featured choreographer in the college’s annual Dance Facets Concert. She also spent two summers teaching in the Kids on Campus program and was prominently featured in the college’s marketing campaigns.

She went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts with an emphasis in Dance Performance and Choreography from Wichita State University in Fall 2019. While at Wichita State, Carlie trained under esteemed faculty including Nick Johnson, Sabrina Vasquez, Cheyla Clawsen-Chandler, Denise Celestine, and Amy Pollard, and worked with renowned guest artists such as Darrell Grand Moultrie, Jammie Walker, and Kendall Brown.

As a member of Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, Carlie performed at the American College Dance Association, where her company’s work was selected to open the Gala performance. She also trained in New York City at Gibney Dance and performed alongside Duo Petrof. Her additional performance credits include guest artist roles with Wheat State Dance Collective and a featured role in La Traviata with the Wichita Opera.

Professionally, Carlie danced with Paradigm Flux, a contemporary dance company based in Jacksonville, Florida, where she continued to expand her artistic voice and performance experience.

Carlie’s teaching career spans studios across Northwest and Northeast Florida, as well as the Wichita area. She is a certified instructor through Acrobatic Arts and has been recognized for her work with honors including the Outstanding Student in Dance award from Northwest Florida State College, the Outstanding Hip Hop Performance award from IHD Dance Workshop, and a Teacher Scholarship Award from The Dance Effect.

In addition to her work in dance, Carlie was a member of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleading team in the 2022-2023 season, where she choreographed an end zone routine and represented the organization internationally in London.

Currently, Carlie travels with Revolution Talent Competition as both a tabulator and adjudicator. She is also the Owner and Artistic Director of Campus Dance Academy, where she leads with a clear vision for excellence in training, performance, and student development. Carlie is deeply passionate about her work and is committed to inspiring, educating, and instilling a lifelong love of dance in every student she reaches.
